fastest killing cancer - pancreatic cancer

Pancreatic cancer has the lowest possibility of survival. It is considered as the fastest killing cancer.

If pancreatic cancer patients are not treated in time, the research has shown that one in 4 people with pancreatic cancer die within a month of diagnosis and rapidly progressing to 3 in 4 people dying within a year of diagnosis.

Currently, 7 in 10 people with pancreatic cancer do not receive any active treatment such as potentially curative surgery or chemotherapy. Thus, it is very important for pancreatic cancer patients to be treated at the earliest possibility of time.

why is it important to treat pancreatic cancer fast?

Actually, it is hard to diagnose pancreatic cancer early because there are no any noticeable symptoms in the early stages of pancreatic cancer. In addition, it is also difficult to differentiate between the symptoms of pancreatic cancer and other illnesses because pancreatic cancer’s symptoms are just the same as other illnesses' signs

Therefore, when it is detected, there needs to be a sense of urgency in treating patients with the disease, most patients receive a late diagnosis, which also means that the cancer is already very actively dividing and spreading.

People who can have treatment, need to receive it quickly, straight after diagnosis so that the window of opportunity to survive longer is not missed.
